Rwanda and UAE signs Visa weaver agreement for Diplomatic and Service passports holders

Minister of Foreign affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Louise Mushikiwabo met with Minister UAE Minister of State for International cooperation, Reem Ali ALHASHIMY. The meeting aims strengthening relations between the two countries, and exchange ideas on a wide range of bilateral issues, as well as strategies for promoting common positions in international fora.

It is within this framework that today Minister Louise Mushikiwabo and her counterpart H.E Reem Ali ALHASHIMY Minister of State for International Cooperation in the Republic of United Arab Emirate(UAE) signed visa waiver agreement for holders of Diplomatic and Service passports. This agreement aims at increasing level engagement to step up bilateral partnership.

Beyond this the two delegation have discussed on how citizens of both countries will benefit from being guaranteed a chance of getting visa on arrival, not only that but also to boost existing partnership in commerce and in tourism as well.

Minister Mushikiwabo reiterated the good relations existing between Rwanda and UAE.
Minister Louise Mushikiwabo also expressed Rwanda’s will to continue existing partnership with AUE at multilateral level.

“This meeting is an opportunity to reaffirm the readiness of Rwanda to do more with the UAE and work together at a continental and global level in pursuit of common interests. We are pleased that the UAE is opening a resident embassy in Rwanda and look forward to working and welcoming the new Ambassador soon.” She said

UAE Minister of State for International cooperation, praise the bilateral Relations between Rwanda and UAE and pledged UAE commitment to step up cooperation.

UAE is opening a residence embassy in Rwanda very soon which will further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.

The visit of UAE Minister of State Reem Al Hashimy in Rwanda, followed the state visit to UAE by President Paul Kagame on 23 November, 2017, to discussing investment cooperation between two countries.
